CGIAR's vast network, encompassing 13 Global Research Centers and countless projects, has amassed a treasure trove of data and expertise. The AI Hub has already yielded impressive results. AgriLLM, an open-source AI model, provides multilingual, real-time digital advisory services, connecting farmers, advisors, and policymakers. The IWMI’s AI-Water Project focuses on water governance and integrated planning, strengthening farmer resilience against droughts and floods. A global dashboard for this project is currently under development for the 2026 UN Water Conference. Furthermore, the AI Genebank platform accelerates crop improvement by rapidly screening plant samples for climate-resilient traits, linking them to crop research through an interactive chatbot.

Building upon the USD 200 million UAE-Gates Foundation partnership announced at COP28, this initiative has already resulted in four landmark projects: the Institute for Agriculture and Artificial Intelligence (IA|AI), the CGIAR AI Hub, AgriLLM, and AIM for Scale.
