CVC Capital Partners Q3 2025 Update: Record Realizations & Fundraising Boom in Private Equity (2026)

Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of investment and growth! CVC's Q3 2025 Activity Update is a testament to their remarkable progress and future potential.

In this quarter, CVC experienced a surge in gross inflows, reaching €17.8 billion over the last twelve months, which led to an increase in Fund Portfolio Assets Under Management (FPAUM) to a whopping €142 billion. But here's where it gets interesting: their success in fundraising is set to continue, with momentum building into Q4.

Let's dive into the specifics:

Credit: A strong performance with €10.4 billion of total investable capital raised for EUDL IV, surpassing the €6 billion target. This success is a key driver of CVC's overall growth.

Secondaries: SOF VI fundraising has exceeded expectations, now above the $7 billion target, and is expected to close significantly higher in 2026.

Infrastructure: Get ready for accelerated growth! The activation of DIF VIII and VA IV in Q4 is set to boost this sector.

Private Equity: While our FPAUM saw a reduction year-over-year due to record levels of realizations and step-downs on legacy funds, we remain confident in this sector's future.

Speaking of realizations, CVC achieved a record level with highly attractive gross returns of 3.2x MOIC and a 25% IRR. This growth has been consistent, with €6.1 billion in 2023, €13.1 billion in 2024, and a massive €17.6 billion in the last twelve months ending September 2025. And this is the part most people miss: CVC has returned more capital than deployed over the past three years, which is a huge confidence booster for future Private Equity fundraising, especially with the launch of Fund X in Q1-27.

The deployment of €22.8 billion in the last twelve months was largely driven by strong growth in Credit, while Private Equity deployment remained consistent with a 3-4 year fund cycle.

But it's not just about the numbers; CVC has also demonstrated strong value creation across all its material funds. Private Equity and Infrastructure saw a 3% value growth in Q3-25, and Private Equity experienced a 12% EBITDA growth in the last twelve months ending September 2025.

And the momentum continues! CVC's Private Wealth and Insurance channels are gaining traction. Private Wealth saw an impressive aggregate value of c.€3 billion, a 69% increase from Q2-25, while Insurance made significant progress on multiple fronts.

Rob Lucas, CEO, commented, "CVC's third quarter was exceptional, with record realizations and very attractive returns. This has driven significant growth in PRE and boosted our confidence in future fundraising. We're excited about the continued strong growth across our Credit and Secondaries platforms, and we expect accelerated growth in Infrastructure. The momentum in Private Wealth is also encouraging."
