Men’s clothing store in Idaho Falls relocates for third time in its history
The Ferrell's clothing store, a longstanding fixture in Idaho Falls, has moved for the third time in its history. The store, which has been in operation for over 60 years, is now located near the Grand Teton Mall, marking a significant shift in its location.
The Wrights, who own the business with their wife, Teneal, cite several reasons for the move. They sought a larger space, with a bigger sales floor and less back room area, to better serve their customers. The new location also offers improved accessibility, with a stop light and multiple entrances and exits, addressing the challenges of the previous location on 25th East.
Ferrell's has become a staple for young men preparing for missions, offering men's dress suits and suit rentals. The store's history dates back to 1950 when Dave Anderson opened it at JCPenney's. In the 1980s, Brent Tueller, Teneal's father, bought the business, and she grew up working in the shop. The Wrights took over in 2018, and the business has been a cornerstone of the community ever since.
The relocation also marks a change in ownership. Jayce Powell, a local contractor, purchased the building on Broadway from the Wrights in 2019 and remodeled it. The building is now owned by Rare Earth Enterprises LLC, with Justin and Valerie Miller as the business owners. The Millers have preliminary plans, but more details are yet to be revealed.
Despite the move, Ferrell's will maintain its regular hours, offering a wide range of men's clothing options. The store's new location, next to Work Wear House and Bob's Indoor Golf, provides a convenient hub for men's fashion and entertainment.
As the business continues to evolve, the Wrights express excitement about offering new products and serving customers in their new location. The grand re-opening is set for April, and the store invites customers to visit and experience the changes firsthand.
