Bold opening: A Hollywood heavyweight paves a new coast-facing chapter, and the details are as glossy as the water views at stake.
In Florida, Kevin Sorbo—famous for his Hercules days and later ventures behind the camera—has found a new home. He’s reportedly in contract to purchase a three-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom residence in Jupiter’s Forté Luxe peninsula, a waterfront community that’s drawing attention for its modern design and upscale vibe.
While the exact price hasn’t been disclosed, similar three-bedroom units in the gated complex typically list around $5 million to $5.4 million (about AUD 7 million to 7.64 million). A four-bedroom currently on the market asks about $7.9 million (AUD 11.2 million), according to The New York Post.
The townhouse itself spans roughly 3,550 square feet and is designed to maximize light and views. It features floor-to-ceiling glass walls, beamed ceilings, and a rooftop terrace that includes a summer kitchen, a fire pit, lounge spaces, and water-facing vistas. A covered terrace also offers waterfront scenery.
Inside, Interiors by Steven G, a Miami-based designer known for polished, high-end interiors, has crafted the look. The kitchen is a sleek chef’s space with a breakfast bar, while the open-plan living and dining area flows into a den. Each home comes with a private elevator and a floating staircase, with private dipping pools available as an optional extra.
The Forté Luxe project comprises 17 townhomes, each with water views on three sides, positioned on a peninsula across the Intracoastal Waterway from Jupiter Island. Construction is ongoing, with completion planned for this summer. The developer is Forté Development, led by Forté’s founder and CEO, Fortelni, and architecture is by Alfonso Jurado, showcasing contemporary design across unit sizes from 3,550 to over 5,000 square feet.
Community amenities include an infinity pool and sun deck, reinforcing the lifestyle appeal of the project.
Sorbo’s career soared in the 1990s with Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and later Andromeda, a sci-fi series. Since stepping back from mainstream acting, he has run Sorbo Studios with his wife, producing several projects annually.
Public commentary about Sorbo has included allegations from former co-stars and public commentary on social media. Lucy Lawless publicly criticized him during the 2024 U.S. presidential campaign for remarks about Kamala Harris, and she recalled past on-set incidents that reportedly surprised colleagues.
Controversy hooks: Sorbo’s move highlights how a public figure’s career and personal brand intersect with real estate choices in high-profile markets. Do you think a celebrity’s housing purchases shape public perception of their past roles, or should these moves be treated purely as private financial decisions? And with the ongoing debate around cancel culture, where do you stand on whether a star’s past statements should influence present opportunities and housing prospects?
