The ITCZ (Intertropical Convergence Zone) will influence southern Mindanao, while the Northeast Monsoon, known as amihan, will affect Northern and Central Luzon, according to PAGASA.
Areas including Caraga, Davao Region, Palawan, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi should expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, driven by the ITCZ. Moderate to locally heavy rains raise the potential for flash floods or landslides in these areas.
The Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterly winds. The threat of flash floods or landslides remains with moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon will see overcast conditions with rain brought by the Northeast Monsoon, with a continued risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to at times heavy rainfall.
Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the remaining parts of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain, caused by the Northeast Monsoon. This is not expected to have a significant impact.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterly winds. Flash floods or landslides remain possible during episodes of severe thunderstorms.
Wind conditions show the northern and eastern parts of Luzon, along with the eastern Visayas, experiencing moderate to strong northeast winds, with rough coastal waters in those areas.
The remaining portions of Luzon and Visayas will face moderate northeast winds with currently moderate coastal waters.
For Mindanao, wind speeds are expected to be light to moderate, shifting from east to northeast, with coastal waters ranging from slight to moderate.
