However, my experience with this innovative device has been a mixed bag, to say the least. While the Litter-Robot 5 Pro excels at its core function of scooping waste, its AI capabilities fell short of my expectations. The facial recognition feature, Cat ID, struggled to differentiate between my two distinct cats, leading to frustrating errors and a lack of confidence in the system. The health monitoring, which was supposed to provide valuable insights, failed to deliver any actionable data, and the WasteID system had difficulty identifying waste types and providing accurate weights. Despite these shortcomings, the Litter-Robot 5 Pro is a quiet and efficient machine, making it a decent choice for those seeking a hands-off approach to cat care. However, the AI features are still a work in progress, and I would recommend saving money and opting for the regular Litter-Robot 5 instead. In my opinion, Whisker has overpromised and underdelivered with the AI capabilities of the 5 Pro, and it's clear that the company needs to refine its technology before it can truly live up to its potential.
