Being Icelandic, Bjarnason believes his background has left its mark on 'Lux.' "The Icelandic sound is hard to define," he says, "but it's often slow-moving, ethereal, and spacious. Icelandic musicians are free to move between musical worlds, and that openness is reflected in 'Lux.'"

Bjarnason is eager to collaborate further, especially in the world of electronic music. "I'm drawn to hard techno," he reveals. "I recently visited Detroit, the birthplace of techno, and I'd love to explore that scene more. I need a guide to navigate this new world and discover all the exciting sounds out there."

For those listening closely, Bjarnason recommends paying attention to the contrabass clarinet in 'Porcelana.' "It's a unique sound, not often heard in pop music," he says. "It's a huge instrument, creating a rumbling, deep tone."
